Final Examination is the last step in the Course in which candidates are expected to gain evaluation and interpretation skills to form judgements and decisions. The theoretical education of CA course is supported by a complementary practical training for 3 years providing holistic learning needed for a professional.


  • For Registration:

    Students after qualifying both groups of Intermediate examination are eligible to register for Final Course.

  • For Appearing Examination::

    After successful completion of Four Weeks Advanced Integrated course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (AICITSS), students are allowed to appear for Final examination during the last 6 months of Practical Training.

  • For Appearing Examination
    1. Candidates who have passed Foundation level of ICAI,ICSI or ICMAI can appear for Intermediate exams after completing 8 months study period after intermediate Registration. Due Date for Registration -1 st Mar and 1 st Sep for November and May Attempt respectively
    2. Graduates/Post-Graduates who enrolling through Direct Entry Route can appear for exams after undergoing Four weeks of ICITISS and completing 9 months of practical training. Due Date for Registration- 1 st Feb and 1 st Aug for November and May attempt respectively

About Exam

  • The exams are descriptive and do not carry negative marking.
  • A candidate is required to obtain 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks in the aggregate of all the papers in each of the groups.
  • Upon passing both the groups and applying for memnership at the ICAI, a candidate is declared to be a Chartered Accountant.


  • Paper-1: Financial Reporting (Other papers are 100% Descriptive)
  • Paper-2: Strategic Financial Management (Other papers are 100% Descriptive)
  • Paper-3: Advanced Auditing and Professional Ethics(30 % Objective and 70 % Descriptive)
  • Paper-4: Corporate and Economic Laws(30 % Objective and 70 % Descriptive)


  • Paper-5: Strategic Cost Management and Performance Evaluation(Other papers are 100% Descriptive)
  • Paper-6: Elective Paper(Other papers are 100% Descriptive)

Passing Criteria

A candidate must appear in all the papers in a group and get minimum of 40% marks in individual paper and 50% marks in aggregate of all 4 papers in a group to pass a single group.

Students can appear in the examination group-wise or both groups together.
